25th Anniversary Songs

Ragan Jenkins (STB Editor from Florida's Bay Area Chapter) worked with singer/songwrite Dean Rasik of Songs-4-U (donating time, talent, and studio) to put together two 'telling' songs for our final 25th Anniversary celebration in Toledo, Ohio. Thanks, Ragan! You're the best!

Women in the Wind
by Dean Rasik and Ragan Jenkins

Verse I
They say this whole thing started 25 years ago
Becky Brown saw the light out in Toledo
She said, "I love the road, I love the wind, I love riding strong and free
and there's got to be more out there just like me."

Verse II
Becky makes a killer margarita the lady's 50 years young
She has stood with Peter Fonda hand-in-hand, tongue-to-tongue
A proud member of the Motorcycling Hall of Fame
And like her sticker says she's got both 'tits and brain'

Chorus
The highway is my sister my lover and my friend
Sharin' this ride together, forever
Women in the Wind

Verse III
Now Gale is our Queen, hear the Smoky Mountain Thunder
Will she actually ride to Nationals this year? (We all wonder)
Gale lost her lunchtime pickle who grew eyes, a mouth and nose
And now Gale gets photographs of Mr. Pickle wherever she goes

Verse IV
We played cow patty bingo had heart-ons and scavenger hunts
Rode 1,000 miles in one single day and earned our iron butts
We threw glitter on each other saw Vegas stud-boy shoot the moon
And we'll make sure this year that Becky gets her spoons

Chorus

Bridge
Now Ragan is the baby newsletter brat
Has a belt that looks just like a whip
(what goes on in Key West stays in Key West)
And keeps the naughty boys in line and we got pictures
To prove they had a good time on their road trip
(hey, he's got a whip, too, oop never mind)
And Jasmine Bluecreek helps you fix your bike
Tells you a rubber mallet is a real good gift
(yea, use it on Vegas stud boy)
And the night that Dave put on Becky's little red nightie
He was everybody's favorite dancing bitch

Verse V
Lauranne is Biker Betty, she makes the Web pages go
Got hit by an 18-wheeler, broke her pelvis bone
Layed up in the hospital went to visit her there
She kept saying, "PLEASE, someone wash my hair."

Verse VI
Something pulls us all together to share a smile, to share a tear
It's a very special gathering we come to this year
Friends, sisters, and brothers, silver and chrome
One big happy family goes home

Chorus 2x

Silver and Chrome
by Dean Rasik and Ragan Jenkins

Verse I
This year we gathered in Ohio
All dressed up in our leather and our boots
Motorcycles headed to the promised land
Sisters looking for our roots

Verse II
The road we ride brings us together
Time to party with family and friends
This is the year we will always remember
This is the year we'll buy some men

Chorus
It's the big party this year with sisters coming home
Gainin' speed, shiftin' gears
Silver and chrome

Verse III
Becky is walkin' 'round on crutches
They say she slipped and fell in Greece
Queen Gale is struttin' round in her tiara
Made it here on two wheels in one piece

Verse IV
Has anyone see Peggy lately
Lookin' good in an itty bitty dress
Lauranne says don't call me the Webmaster
You know damn well that I'm the Web Goddess

Chorus

Bridge
(Hey have you seen our very first ever calendar yet?
Yea, the stuff you gals sent in was amazing!)
Cowgirls in Kansas City ridin' with each other
Pictures of New York girls up against the van
New Jersey Girls milkin' a giant udder
Great Lakes and United Riders always had a naked man

Verse V
This family of women riders
That comes together twice a year
There is no place on earth I'd rather be
Then with all of you right now right here

Verse VI
We ride beneath the sun together
We ride beneath the stars and moon
Will the roads on which we ride are long and wide
But all seems small compared to Becky's spoon

Chorus
Silver and chrome 3X
Silver and chrome
